Vicious Art - As awesome as I expected
And more than that

Yesterday I grabbed my oldest son and we took a trip to Haninge outside Stockholm. It was a small local festival with several bands for 2 days, but only one reason for me to go there... Vicious Art live!! One year since first and last time before that...


I think the stage was kind of big (meaning that is good!) for such a place (and thinking about the number of the crowd, we had enough place to get on stage too, well almost...), the sound wasn't a killer but totally okay (even if it seems the band lost their monitors after a while), and the small crowd at least really fucken enjoyed!


I think one guy, a young kid in a wheel-chair, will remember this gig for years!! Jocke actually crawled on the floor in front of him! And if you know him from stage, you know he doesn't jsut stand there straight singing... Despite the size of the crowd, he really gave it all.


J ruled, both with his "torture"-roars and his intense bass playing, Sillman and Matti complete each other so well and Robban is awesome behind his set (even more when it gets hot ^^).


Noticed a bit surpricing/improvised end at one of the new tunes, but Tanja fucken RULED live aswell as the old tunes! It's (was it 35-40 minutes??) a set that gets you exhausted and in love with Death Metal if you weren't before! "Satanas" - "Satanas"...


Now I've seen God Among Insects and Vicious Art live in less than a month, two of my favorite bands... If I could just end this with Sanctification, Dark Funeral and Vomitory too this month, I can die happy! ;) Oh wait, SYL in a bit less than a month too...

Thanks guys for excellent tunes all the way into my bones and for chatting with the old lady at this gig! ;) Three more new tunes done you said, now lets hope we will be allowed to see & hear some of that soon!!

Anyway, got my tickets for VA tomorrow in Haninge. Trying to get my son to ride along or I will be accused of being pedophile. And I do prefer guys who can grow a beard ^^

Also found Blood Rapture by Vomitory and Katatonias Viva Emptiness at the store. So I'm doing well now, even more with my three copies of the Vicious Art EP :D

Now I lost all the willpower to do a good job... I wish to go home, grab a cold one and fall asleep for a while in the sofa, and then go out and listen some good music and have some more cold drinks...

But I guess I should do some final effort, so they wont steal the paycheck coming next week.

But in an excellent mood. Two CD's arrived from US yesterday. Zimmer's Hole - soooo funny and SYL's Alien (which I listened to for a long time, but now legally bought, since I probablyI will meet them in June and have them sign it! :) )

Some good reading as usually found on my favorit spot nowadays - Global Domination! Today about the good old Deicide that once was... mixed with the usual chat about everything and nothing.




My brothers little daughter! It feels so good that my kids are growing up... Every age has it's charm, even teenagers ;) But sometimes borrowing younger kids is totally ok. But I haven't dared to buy any skull shirts for this girl yet... (even if I found an awesome shirt with the text "Shut up and wipe my fucken ass". My small revolt is buying trains, cars and blue clothes for her instead of girlie stuff...

My brother deserves extra kudos for being an excellent cook, so I love to go and sit at his veranda with the smell of fresh grilled meet... oh, and a cold beer maybe ;)







There is much more... but now I'll go out in the sun and let a cold beer cool my mind after a day at work...
Now go out and have sex in semi-public places (not town squares and such) like... park your car on the side of the road, go a few steps away, check for ants, and then enjoy... ;)

Today I'm having a lunchdate with my son. He's up in Stockholm for getting his 1st passport as an "adult", being 18 now... Lucky me I'm not getting older in the same pace my kids are growing up! Yesterday I had a coffee with one of his best friends who visited the town, so if the rumors about me dating hardly legal guys reaches you, you know why ;)

Today you are offered some good reading as usual: HERE . Tobben is an excellent drummer in two great bands, Vomitory and God Among Insects (both mentioned before in my blog, at least once ;) ). Strapping Young Lad is fucken great, both the old albums, like the one covered here and the newer like Alien. Looking so much forward to hear them this summer, at least once, maybe twice.

Other things coming up, soon Vicious Art will kick my ass in Haninge and probabaly a visit at Dead Generation festival in Köping (mainly for one band, maybe two). We have to support the initiatives coming or there will be no more music than the big concerts in Stockholm.
Another good club is Club Distortion, usually having their events at Pub Anchor at Sveavägen. There I saw Lingua and Vicious Art among others. Yeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaaa!!

Weekend will hopefully be relaxed, not much happening. My wallet says that I can't party every weekend as much as I'd like to, so I will miss the GAI-gig in Västerås :/ But if my poster will reach Lord K before they have their Karlstad show, maybe I'll go there instead! Fuck Swedish customs. I'm sure they have my GAI-poster at the wall where they drink the alcohol they have taken from tourists coming home from warmer countries... :P They really deserve some serious spanking!!!
