So to the results...

I must start with saying: It was a great event, and I had a blast, even if most people are more into oldschool than I am. I learned about some new bands, I've never heard of before, and of course, met a lot of really nice people, that I hope to share more fun with in the future!

Things were well planned, we had some nice food (not very metal to have a salad though ;) ), and not a boring second until we left the building!

So, here we go - this is how things finished, in a very democratic way:

1. Årets låt 2005 (Best song of the year)
Well, I figured out, even before I got there, that my taste for death metal wouldn't score much...
So maybe, bootlicking for the audience, I played Angry Inch with Type O Negative, which is kind of a party starter for me. Well, no luck with that one. The other one, (deciding to celebrate Swedish metal), Entombed with Out of Hand, scored even less. At least in this class... But hey, I wanted to show what I like, without too much of a shock (had GAI, Dissection, Satariel and Sanctification in mind and prepared too, but as the evening developed... Entombed it was). So in the final, we had quite a mix (my acts not in the final, by far...). Bachman Turner Overdrive, Jörn Lande, Monster Magnet, Apocalyptica...
And the winner was: SPACELORD with Monster Magnet! Think that the fact that it's been in a quite good commercial lately also helped... Recognized acts seems to score more, good or not!

2. Årets tyngsta (Heaviest performance)
The final competion was between Slayer, Entombed, Electric Wizard and Rammstein (I think we had 5 Rammstein songs among the 40 played!). Since you couldn't vote for your own song, my vote was on Slayer! Entombed finished 2nd, so not too bad for a rookie.
But heaviest song of 2005 was Feuer Frei with Rammstein. Everyone (almost) was in a Rammstein mood, so not too surpriced :)

3. Årets utstyrsel (Best clothes (of the participants, not the bands :P))
Well arriving there, I heard that they've never been able to choose one... So just judge for yourselves, looking at the pic from last blog :P There's 4 of us there at least ;) I'll add more pics, as soon as I've had some from "Princess".

4. Årets groupie (Groupie of the year - Here I just must win, or I fucken die!!!)
Dee's Letter of recommendation made a success, where I dared to show it ;) And they said that the title was mine, if they hadn't change the competition at the end, to Rocker of the year... So we competed in "How to take a mouthful and still being able to speak", "How smooth you are with your fingers", "How good your are at drinking" and last but not least, the final was about "The way to move your hips...". Winner here was Pelle... So Grats there! But next year I wish an official Groupie Ranking!!! I need that for my CV and work applications ;)
